Billy Jones attends Champlain Valley National Heritage Partnership's annual summit

The Champlain Valley National Heritage Partnership works on both sides of Lake Champlain and in Quebec to promote our region's rich history and heritage. I had the privilege to attend their annual summit in Saranac Lake this year, where I had the opportunity to speak with folks about the important work they are doing to tell the history of our region, combat invasive species, and their plans for the upcoming 250th anniversary of the American Revolution. As a cosponsor of the bill that created New York’s 250th Anniversary of the Revolutionary War commission, it was great to be part of this conversation and was proud to introduce Dr. John Krueger before his fascinating talk about the Revolutionary War. I also want to congratulate the Clinton County Historical Association for receiving an award for all the work they did for the women's suffrage centennial last year. Well deserved!
