Today I had the opportunity to go out to Malone and visit some of the local businesses and historical sites there. First, I visited the First Congregation Church, which is an important part of our local history and one of the oldest buildings in Malone. While there, I took a tour and spoke with officials about preservation efforts and the significance of the Underground Railroad to the community and it's important historical integrity. After this great opportunity, I checked out some of the local businesses in the area. The staff at ABCD Hardware and Supply were very attentive and welcoming! Then I visited Bokie's Drive In to grab a rainy day snack before heading out to my last few meetings of the day.
