In these tumultuous times, sometimes we need to pause and see all the good being done in our community. Today I stopped by Brian Shanksy Baker’s home where he has painted his picket fence with a PRIDE theme to honor the work and raise money for The Trevor Project. Given that this weekend was both National Coming Out Day and World Mental Health Day, it seemed fitting to highlight this project to let our LGTBQ youth know they are not alone. Consider donating to help end suicide among our youth and let’s work together to create a safe environment for them to grow up in.
